| Born in 2001, the same year the Festival was created, were the World Youth Orchestra and the World Youth Chamber Orchestra, composed of talented young musicians from round the world. The World Youth Orchestra, nominated UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2002 and presented with the Medaglia d'Argento and the Targa d'Argento by the President of the Italian Republic in 2004, was invited to perform around the world. In June of 2005, the WYO was part of the great Dialogue and Brotherhood among Diverse Cultures concert which ended its tour at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York. |

| With its ellipsoidal shell, the National Grand Theater, also named as National Centre for the Performing Arts, is the top class theater in China, which was designed to present Chinese audiences with world-class artistic performances, from large-scale operas and plays to musicals and concerts. The complex encompasses is divided into a 2,416-seat opera house, a 2,017-seat concert hall, and a 1,040-seat lyric theatre.
